Leonie Barron will make a difference for Plumstead

Leonie Barron, the Liberal Democrat candidate for the Plumstead by-election on Thursday 25th September, has set out her key proposals to make life better for local residents.

For a cleaner, greener local environment Leonie will press Greenwich Council to:

employ adequate staff to implement the tough new measures on dog-fouling and littering;
refurbish all Plumstead playgrounds;
introduce separate bins for recyclable litter throughout Plumstead;
develop policies to prioritise pedestrians & cyclists and discourage car use;
support tree-planting and the proper maintenance of trees in streets;
start a pilot nappy laundry scheme to cut down the use of disposable nappies.

Local Plumstead-resident Leonie Barron said "These are just some of the measures that Greenwich Council could introduce straightaway to make a difference for people living here in Plumstead."
