Lib Dem campaigner Lucy Mortimer is dismayed by the lack of good quality local services in Greenwich West
Lib Dem Borough Council candidate Lucy Mortimer said: "Over the last few weeks, residents of Greenwich West have been telling me about how they feel the town centre is starting to decline. They feel that the town is becoming more and more targeted at tourists, and that they can no longer access the services that they want and need.
"My neighbours want to see shops run for local people. They want to see the services that they need available in the town, instead of highly priced and poor quality offerings.
Lucy added "Whilst we love that Greenwich is an area of historical interest and we welcome visitors to the area, residents have told me that they feel that the town is being 'run into the ground' and that the Council have to do more to ensure that the needs of local people are being met."
